In January of 2013 I began working with the Advanced Ceramics class at Somerville High School leading a unit called Independent Narratives. Each student developed, or chose a story to depict dimensionally in clay form. The students integrated my carving and building techniques to show their imagery and tell their stories. Their literary interpretations are unique and varied, show-casing many ceramics forms.

The students exhibited their completed work at a local gallery and ceramics center, Mudflat Studio, giving the students an opportunity to see and share their work in a new setting.
